Graphic Engineering Program Achieves 4 PKM Funding Proposals for 2024
Jakarta | In 2024, the State Polytechnic of Creative Media (Polimedia) successfully secured funding for 18 PKM (Student Creativity Week) proposals from the Directorate of Academic Education for Vocational Higher Education, Directorate General of Vocational Education, through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology. Among these, the Graphic Engineering Program contributed 4 proposals, accounting for approximately 22% of the total received by Polimedia.
This achievement is a significant milestone for the Graphic Engineering Program, reflecting an increase from the previous year, which saw the approval of only 1 PKM funding proposal. Generally, the PKM proposals from Graphic Engineering students focus on the development of environmentally friendly materials and the implementation of safety habits in the workplace.
The funded proposals this year include a research proposal in the Exact Sciences (RE) category, led by Freniko Alviansyah Hadinata and Azhar Rafiansyah, focusing on eco-friendly ink. Both groups were guided by Ms. Gema Sukmawati Suryadi. Additionally, funding was secured through a Social Humanities Research PKM, led by Sheren Aryefa Leontin Kusuma under the guidance of Ms. Elviana, and Lingga Antakusuma Putra under Ms. RR. Christiana Mayang Anggraeni.
This success is attributed to the collaboration between students and faculty in transforming abstract ideas into tangible projects that can compete at the national level.
“I hope the implementation of PKM goes smoothly and leads us to PIMNAS. May we have even more proposals funded next year,” said Dwi Riyono, PhD, Head of the Industrial Technology Department.
For your information, the Student Creativity Program (PKM) is one of the prestigious competitions at the national level. Success in obtaining funding and reaching the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) serves as an indicator of the creativity of students and their supervising lecturers in transforming creative ideas into real actions that produce the latest research and innovations.
